Pluto is not very big. It is only half as wide as the United States. Pluto is smaller than the Earth’s moon. It takes 248 Earth years for Pluto to orbit around the sun once. One day on Pluto is about 6 1/2 days on Earth. Pluto is 40 times farther from the sun than Earth is. Pluto is in an area of space called the Kupier Belt.
